My story
Hi, I’m Sophie! I’m 28, originally from Lincoln, and now happily based in Central Nottingham, where I get to call wedding photography my dream job.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me with a paintbrush in hand, sipping on coffee (or the occasional brandy—but never together, don’t worry!). I’m a total lover of the classics—give me the music of the 1940s and 50s any day. Some might say I have an old soul, and I think they might be right.
Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Back in college, I fell in love with the magic of film cameras—the smell of the darkroom, the anticipation as the images slowly developed—it was like watching memories appear right in front of my eyes. Pure magic.
Before weddings, I dabbled in everything from fashion portraits to landscapes, pet sessions, and family and maternity shoots. Then about two years ago, I photographed my first wedding—for a friend—and I was hooked.....
There’s something so special about seeing two people, surrounded by all the love in the world, promise forever to each other. It inspires me every single time and fuels my passion to turn those fleeting moments into timeless memories.
When I’m shooting a wedding, my approach is relaxed and candid. I’m not here to turn your day into a posed photoshoot—I’m here to capture your wedding as it really happens. From the quiet, intimate moments to the laughter and tears shared with your loved ones, I aim to be a calm presence in the background, capturing the genuine, natural moments that you’ll cherish forever.
Your day is about you, and my goal is to preserve it authentically, so every time you look back at your photos, the memories feel as alive as the day itself.
